Clarity.

Copywriting services for the modern world.

Slavishly following established rules of grammar doesn’t make things clearer. English is a living, breathing & constantly changing language. I believe in saying what you need me to say in ways the reader can relate to. That’s why I prefer to write more like people speak. Why write ‘whilst’ when ‘while’ reads & sounds a lot smoother, for example? Contractions also make reading easier. ‘Haven’t,’ instead of ‘have not,’ for instance. Nothing wrong with the occasional split infinitive, either. They’re useful in adding emphasis. Star Trek’s ‘to boldly go where no man one has gone before’ is a case in point. Sentences starting with ‘And’ or ‘But’ are acceptable, too, as are one-word sentences. If it reads right & sounds right, it’s right.
